I am a life-long Painter / Entrepreneur who owned and operated a Paint Contracting
company for 22 years; as well as a retail Paint, Wallpaper & Windowcovering
Store for 16 of those years. Upon an all too early failed retirement attempt
in 2000, I set-out to learn more about myself; and this thing called the
Internet, and find a way that I could continue to be productive. This
lead to an interest in Marketing & Selling to the U.S. Federal Government
Marketplace. My studies, research and development eventually lead to the
formation of The RexWeb Group.com (rexwebgroup.com) and
more particularly the site GovREX.com. Life Experiences: (in chronological order)
The RexWeb Group /
GovREX.com
Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Marketing and Advertising industry) July 2005 – Present (1 year 7 months) Providing online marketing & sales services at a personal level...if you sell any kind of goods and/or services online or not, and want to do more with the resources that you presently have...we can help...please feel free to contact us...let's discuss the future. for information visit The RexWeb Group.
Cascade Painting &
Design, Inc. ,
Painter,
(Privately Held Corp, Interested Party; 11-50 employees; Construction industry - Paint Contracting) January 1990 – Present Mostly I serve as a Leader by Example and Resident On-Site Expert to a very young fast paced commercial painting crew...get them going, keep them going, and make sure that they aren't screw9ng up. I usually end up going around and painting "doors" and directing some final touch-up. This is my "day job" when the weather is nice! I pretty much come and go as I please. Time is winding down on my ability to Paint.
MarTech,
Inc., VP, Operations
(Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Marketing and Advertising industry) January 2004 – June 2005 (1 year 6 months) I sat at the right hand of Brig. General Owen J. Wood, PhD. Founder & President of MarTech, Inc. and learned all I could, until it became evident that the oracle had gone blind. This experience broadened my horizons by allowing me to travel to Washington, DC and several Trade Shows; and to participate in some entry-level Government contract negotiations. I will miss my time with Owen, but felt it was time to learn and grow in another field.
Central Oregon Regional
Housing Authority (CORHA)
(ORS Chapter 456, Non-Profit; 20-30 employees; Quasi-Governmental Agency administering HUD responsibilities) January 2001 – December 2001 (1year) Funded by a 1year Private Foundation Grant, I was hired as the "Communications Coordinator" and worked as one of the Administrative Assistants to the Executive Director. Together we worked on several projects including a region wide survey and report detailing the availability of affordable housing in the greater Central Oregon area. I also coordinated the summary symposium dinner attended by numerous Local, Regional and State elected Officials. Other responsibilities included attending and recording public board meetings, representing the organization in union negotiations, and minor public speaking roles at public functions. This was a period of much personal growth in my life, and I have used the experience to great benefit ever since. Central Oregon Paint Supply, Owner/Partner (Partnership; 1-4 employees; Building Materials industry) August 1984 – March 2000 (15 years) I did absolutely everything it took to build Central Oregon Paint Supply into a very successful retail Paint, Wallpaper & Window-covering Store. I wore all the hats...I loved this time in my life and miss the good friends that I counted among my customers, and the opportunity to solve their challenges. The Painter's Associates, Contractor (Sole Proprietorship; 1-4 employees; Painting Contractor) August 1978 – March 2000 (22 years) (after early 1990 mostly sub-ing with Cascade Painting) I put food on the table, a roof over head and never went out naked. And I still love driving around town saying "I painted that"...

Recent Activities:
I have now been involved in successfully completing several GSA Contract
Proposals and presently administrate and manage 2 on-going Multiple
Award Schedules with several
Manufacturers. My on-going daily activities involve Marketing & Selling to
the U.S. Federal Government Marketplace, Administrative Staff Support
Services, Target Marketing to the DoD...and I still wield a pretty good
paintbrush, do a mean faux "marble" finish, and a great mahogany wood grain
simulation as well. I plan on continuing to expand the core "online"
competencies and capabilities of the business particularly the
Administrative Staff Support Services area.Outside Interests:
